Preventing Genocide

“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.” Nelson Mandela.

At Genocide Survivors Foundation (GSF), we believe in the power of education to transform minds and hearts. As such, GSF organizes and seeks to participate in genocide prevention and human rights education programs including:

  • Class room lectures for middle school, high school, and university Students
  • Community awareness programs and public discussion forums
  • Educational field trips to countries recovering from genocide and other forms of mass atrocity crimes
  • Other educational and advocacy efforts dedicated to fighting hate, all forms of bigotry, intolerance and extremism and promoting understanding and respect for diversity
