Karen Shulman currently works in the corporate relations for the American Cancer Society. Karen has been interested in human rights work for as long as she can remember. Trying to understand why there was conflict in the world, she was inspired to get her BA in Tolerance Studies, and her MA in Conflict Resolution and Diplomacy. Karen’s dedication to genocide prevention brought her to Rwanda for two years, where she worked on various projects, including, becoming the Education and Development Consultant for the Kigali Genocide Memorial Museum.
Karen has built a successful consultancy business that assists nonprofits in organizational development, research, and strategy. One of the many projects she is proud of is her work with the Remember the Women Institute on projects surrounding women in the Holocaust. Karen recently completed her MBA in Sustainable Business and Marketing from the Zicklin School of Business.
