David Russell is the Founder/Director of The Social Enterprise, which support social organisations to realise their ‘mission-driven ambition’. He is currently working with Unilever on their global enhancing livelihoods commitments.

For five years he was Chief Executive of Survivors Fund (SURF) which supports survivors of the genocide in Rwanda, who he continues to advise in his role as UK Coordinator. His work with SURF extends from his experience within the Jewish community, where his interest was first elicited in educating about the importance of the prevention of genocide following his three tenure as a founding trustee of the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust.

On the side, he is the Chief Desserter (CEO) of Antonio Russo Ltd, a social business which produces a range of premium dairy-free iced desserts.
